Martin Blättler ist sowohl Präsident von «well be» als auch Architekt und Projektentwickler. Zudem ist er mit einer chinesischen Frau verheiratet und präsidiert die China Desk Association in der Schweiz. Er freut sich daher ausserordentlich über das Engagement von Andy Liu: «Mit ihm haben wir den perfekten Partner gefunden. Die Philosophie von «well be» und die Erfahrung von Martin Blättler im Bereich der Projektentwicklung von Elderly & Healthcare Projekten haben Andy Liu überzeugt. Als Verwaltungsrat will er speziell asiatischen Investoren die Möglichkeit eröffnen, in den Well-Be-Fund zu investieren. «Gerade die grosse Nachfrage asiatischer Langfrist-Investoren nach operativen Elderly & Healthcare sowie Medical Resorts in Europa stimmen mich sehr optimistisch», erklärt Andy Liu zu seinem neuen Engagement.
Nach Abschluss des Studiums an der EPFL Lausanne stieg Andy Liu Anfang der 2000-er Jahre bei Bucherer Group in der Schweiz als Managing Director Asia & Pacific ein, wo er das erfolgreiche Geschäftsmodell für Luxus-Reisende aus Asien und speziell aus China in die Schweiz entwickelte. Dieses hoch profitable Business führte ihn auch dazu, Luxusuhrenmarken wie Omega, Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain und Piaget zu unterstützen, ihr Geschäft in China zu etablieren. Von 2004 bis 2008 gründete Andy Liu seine eigene Luxusgüter-Handelsfirma, die verschieden Luxusprodukte führte und diese über seine eigenen 60 Verkaufsstellen in China vertrieb. Er war auch einer der ersten, der verschiedene Luxusmarken und Produkte aus Europa in China einführte – zum Beispiel Swarovski. 2008 steig bei der in Hongkong ansässigen Citychamp Group Ltd als Chief Operating Officer ein.
Vier Projekte im ersten Subfonds
Der Well-Be-Fund ist ein Entwicklungsfonds, aber kein Baufonds. Er investiert in aussichtsreiche und erfolgversprechende Elderly & Healthcare-Projekte in der Schweiz, in Deutschland sowie in der EU, die sein Team mit führenden, lokalen Partnern gemeinsam unter der Marke «well be» entwickelt. Die Marktsegmente der Zukunft wie Präventivmedizin, Burnout-Behandlung und gehobene Altersresidenzen werden durch Medical «well be» Resorts erschlossen.
Die Umsetzung des Well-Be-Umbrella-Fonds erfolgt über drei zeitlich gestaffelte Subfonds. Das erste Closing über 25 Millionen Euro des Subfonds 1 ist für Anfang des 2. Quartals 2021 geplant. «well be» steht für den ersten Subfonds kurz vor dem Abschluss von vier Projekten in der Schweiz, Deutschland und Österreich. Die Entwicklung der vier Projekte ist teilweise weit fortgeschritten. Alle Projekte von Subfonds 1 haben Wasserquellrechte, die eine einzigartige Umsetzung des Well-Be-Konzepts ermöglichen. Für die anderen, noch geplanten Subfonds werden ebenfalls Projekte mit Wasserquellrechten bevorzugt.
Danach wird unmittelbar der zweite Subfonds aufgelegt, um die nächsten Projekte aus der bestehenden Pipeline zu erwerben. Pro Subfonds werden vier bis acht Projekte entwickelt. Ziel ist es, den zweiten Subfonds bis Ende 2021 mit weiteren 50 Millionen Euro zu kapitalisieren. Die Laufzeit der jeweiligen Subfonds ist auf drei bis fünf Jahre angelegt, die Gesamtlaufzeit des Fonds auf rund acht bis zehn Jahre. Die Exit-Strategie besteht darin, die Rechte der abgeschlossenen Projekte eines Subfonds einzeln oder als Portfolio an grosse, internationale institutionelle Investoren zu verkaufen.
